Australian employers are paying billions of dollars a year for stress claims, with costs continuing to rise. A 2008 Medibank Private report found stress-related presenteeism and absenteeism are directly costing employers $10.1 billion a year.

Speakers
Noel Walker, Director/Psychologist, Trinity Psychologists Pty Ltd
Noel was trained in the UK and migrated to Australia in 1993 with Honours Degrees in Psychology and Law. He has over 17 years experience in organisational and clinical psychology and has worked as Clinical Co-ordinator of Alcohol and Other Drug programs for the NSW Department of Juvenile Justice and also Co-ordinator of Drug programs for the NSW Police. An aspect of these positions involved providing policy advice at ministerial level on drug issues.
Noel is a Director of Trinity Psychologists Pty Ltd, specialising in the workers compensation arena and committed to measurable outcomes for psychological services delivered in this arena.
In developing the Trinity Psychologists business Noel has used his experience working with commercial organisations including major retailers, logistics and security companies and the public sector (Police, Corrective Services, Education), to develop an early intervention model for psychological services which is recognised for the Return to Work outcomes achieved, reducing the duration of claims and therefore the costs, and in many cases preventing claims occurring.
Trinity Psychologists have designed a facilitated resolution/mediation intervention to reduce the likelihood of psychological injury claims arising and were they do to achieve early return to work outcomes following psychological claims and also resolve long term protracted claims which have become ‘stuck’. This intervention is designed to resolve interpersonal conflict and industrial relations issues. Trinity has been approved by the APS to provide training to other psychologists in their facilitated resolution/mediation intervention.
